Metal/solar roof

The company’s Solar Sandwich combines a standing-seam metal roof system with solar-heating and electrical-generation capabilities, reportedly to reduce a structure’s energy bill by 20% to 80%. SunNet solar laminates form the top layer and attach directly to the roof panels. The metal roof forms the second layer. The third layer is a solar-thermal system under the roof that absorbs energy into a concealed collection system and transfers it to provide energy for the building’s heat and hot water.
